Juno

GENRE : Romance | Drama | Comedy

PLOT : A story of a teenager who meets an unplanned pregnancy and taken an unusual decision regarding her unborn child.

REVIEW : An unusual topic taken as the main plot of the movie. Yes it delivers much to the expectations. The whole script is very unusual and carried out well. Ellen Page as Juno makes the offbeat movie survive with a brilliant act. She's witty, funny and fun to watch. There are some comical conversations which keeps the movie on lighter air throughout. Though the screenplay is adaptive to develop interest in the female viewers more, men must still find it likeable, a little less may be.  Its about emotions, friends, situations, parenthood and decision making. The movie never gets stretchy and is fun to watch.

Cars

GENRE : Animation | Adventure | Comedy

PLOT : A rookie hot-shot race-car named Lightning McQueen wants to win the Piston Cup but on the way to the final race gets waylaid in Radiator Springs, where there is something more for him to learn.

REVIEW : As its a pixar movie, you can't even comment on the animation which is again magnificent. But is that enough for a lay-man who's up for a movie experience? The story is dull and boring. Concept wise the movie is really strong but script is lacking. Movie is predictable and the story keeps stretching like elastic. There are some nice moments and some gimmicks to make you smile but where is the magic of Pixar like we had in earlier movies 'The Incredibles' and 'Finding Nemo' . The movie visually is very appealing and kids gonna surely love it. Even for grown ups its a nice ride but not a great one. Surely is one time watchable easily with family. But seriously Pixar needs to work up on scripts as well as this concept could have been led to excellence.

Someone's Knocking at the Door

Genre : Horror | Comedy

PLOT : A pair of outrageously twisted serial killers use shockingly brutal sex acts to start killing off a group of drug-addled, sexually deviant medical students.

REVIEW : Being a low budget movie, its not quite shocking that this one is a pathetic. There is no plotted script and it feels like they just wanted to add some disturbing sequences with some sex. I simply could not understand the motive of making such a disaster. Simply NO if you're asking for opinion. Avoid it.

No Strings Attached

GENRE : Romance | Comedy

PLOT : Emma and Adam meets accidentally after years and they agrees to keep their relation strictly physical till they can hold it. The rest of the movie follows the consequences.

REVIEW : Ok I agree that the movie is predictable but what do you expect from Rom-Com's, they are meant to entertain you and this is what No Strings Attached does successfully . Its a cute love story overpowered with physical intimacy. The movie is definitely an entertainer with all the punches and funny situations which make you laugh. Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman (the odd couple) fits well together and especially Portman has done a really nice act. Soundtrack is good with some famous no's like Bleeding Love and 99 problems. There are certain liners which you will remember for long. Overall this movie is a great entertainer and deserves a watch.

The Last Exorcism

GENRE : Horror | Thriller

PLOT : Reverend Cotton Marcus raised by his father to be a preacher, agrees that the filmmaker Iris Reisen and the cameraman Daniel Moskowitz make a documentary about his life and let them record the last exorcism performed by him.

REVIEW : If you have watched other exorcist movies, this one's not quite different from them. Again there's a girl possessed by the demon who had to be cured through exorcism. No doubt the technique used this time is inspired from the trend of cam movies like Rec and Paranormal Activities. The basic concept is good and worth appreciation however the way in which the whole idea is carried out including the climax is just average. Actwise, all have done a nice job. The movie is definitely creepy and have certain chills. The climax is unexpected and may be regarded as offbeat wrt the theme. Anyways the movie has its moments and can definitely be viewed once.

Haunted 3D

GENRE : Horror | Mystery | Drama

PLOT : Delhi-based Rehan is instructed by his Realtor father to travel to Koti, near Shimla, and make preparations to sell Billimoria-owned 'Glen Manor' to the Mittal family for Rs.200 Crores. Upon arrival, he disregards warnings from local residents that the mansion is haunted by 'Shaitan'. e soon have encounter with two ghostly entities.

REVIEW : First of all if you've seen earlier Vikram Bhatt's flicks and you liked it, you will like it as well. The story remains almost on the same theme as earlier but this times it come with the 3d effect. The movie visually is very appealing with all the make ups and effects. It lacks on the verge on sound effects. The music of the movie is good and blends with the proceeding movie. Being the first stereoscopic horror movie it achieves and manages to thrill the audience. It has some scary moments and the 3d effect enhances them on a vast scale. The romantic side is well stuffed in. The 3d effects are commendable. Overall I would recommend at least one watch for the great effort. If you love the horror genre you would like it.
